The Opportunity

We are actively seeking to add a Dining Room Manager to our team. The Dining Room Manager will oversee, supervise, and manage the team members, activities, schedules, and maintenance of the Community dining facility. You will ensure proper food quality and oversee dining room cleanliness, set-up, and maintenance. The Dining Room Manager will also continuously seek improvements to process and serve as a knowledge resource for other team members.

What You’ll Do

Communication And Execution

  • Plan, organize, schedule, and coordinate all activities in the community's dining areas.
  • Manage the daily operations of the community's dining areas to meet or exceed Five Star hospitality and service standards; meet/greet all residents and guest and assist them with any requests and suggestions.
  • Supervise all service procedures, service timing and pick up procedures; establish and manage clearing procedures in all dining areas for china, glass, and tableware to minimize breakage and food waste.
  • Communicate with food production staff regarding resident/guest attendance percentages and menu usage factors.
  • Evaluate food presentation and service in all service delivery areas.
  • Coordination of all banquet and meal functions and communicating requirements to all respective departments.

What You’ll Bring

Experience & Education

  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Educational level appropriate to assure fulfillment of essential duties.
  • Experience and/or training in safe food handling techniques and food service principles required.
  • Food Handler certification required.
  • Two years of food service supervisory experience in a restaurant setting and knowledge of plate presentation and front of house service preferred.
  • Basic computer skills are desired for email and report development.
  • Ability to provide and supervise food service to the residents which meets or exceeds hospitality and service standards.
  • Proven desire to work with residents.
